The Bravura Ensemble will make its radio debut in less than two weeks on WFMT!

WFMT/98.7 fm is the preeminent broadcasting station for classical music programming in Chicago. In addition, the station also explores other genres of great music such as folk and jazz. It is the place where the ear can go to hear the most stunning performances from around the world.
Our Bravura singers were accepted via audition to perform on WFMT’s Introductions program which airs every Saturday morning at 11:00 am. Introductions is WFMT’s weekly showcase of the Chicago area’s finest pre-college classical musicians.
“We are honored and thrilled to have been chosen for this prestigious program and to record at the historic Emmanuel Episcopal Church in La Grange, a church recently named to the National Register of Historic Places,” states Molly Lindberg, Spirito! Artistic Director and Founder.
Bravura will perform a short program of choral works:
If Music Be the Food of Love, Music by David Dickau, Text by Henry Heveningham,
God So Loved the World by Bob Chilcott
Ave Maria by Eleanor Daley
Summertime (from the musical “Porgy and Bess”) Music and Lyrics by George Gershwin, DuBose Heyward, Dorothy Heyward, Ira Gershwin
Our Bravura singers were accompanied by Matthew Gemmill and conducted by Molly Lindberg. Introductions host and producer, Michael San Gabino oversaw the recording session and interviewed several Bravura singers for the program. WFMT sound engineer Mary Mazurek provided the recording expertise.
