Founder, Artistic Director Emerita, Virtual Class Instructor

Spirito!'s Founder and Artistic Director Emerita, Molly Lindberg, is a graduate of the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor School of Music, where she graduated Summa Cum Laude with a Bachelor Degree in Vocal Performance and K-12 certification. She sang professionally with the Grant Park Symphony Chorus under the direction of Thomas Peck; the William Ferris Chorale under the direction of William Ferris, and with the Chicago Symphony Chorus under the direction of Margaret Hillis and then Duain Wolfe.
Molly founded Spirito! in the spring of 2008 and rehearsals began the following September with an ensemble of fifty high school treble singers. Molly created a training ensemble for fifth through eighth grade girls the following year incorporating repertoire and a five level comprehensive music theory curriculum. An adult men's ensemble also emerged. A passion for choral music, a great love of working with singers of all ages and tremendous support from the communities which Spirito! serves has enabled Spirito! to blossom into five rehearsal ensembles and 246 singers.
Molly is a member of the National Association of Pastoral Musicians, the American Choral Directors Association, Chorus America, and is a professional member of the American Guild of Musical Artists (AGMA). Molly has also served as a faculty member for the American Federation Pueri Cantores and the National Association of Pastoral Musicians' Illinois Chapter.
