Beginning Theory Instructor, Ragazze La Grange
Katie Knopf is a Choral Music Education Major at North Central College, where she studies under the direction of Dr. Ramona Wis, Jacqueline Schutt, and Angela Presutti Korbitz.
During her time at North Central, Katie has taken on several roles within the Music and Fine Arts departments. She has worked as an Audition Day student aid, an NCC Preceptor for the Beginning Musicianship class, she has assistant stage managed a North Central theatre production, been the Fine Arts Student Connection publicity chair, a Box Office Student Worker, and was a Head Student Worker at the ACDA Illinois Conference in 2012. Katie is also involved in the Ministry and Service department at North Central by singing with the worship team and acting as the Hospitality general board member for FOCUS, a student led worship service.
Katie graduated York in 2011 where she studied Choral Music under the direction of Rebecca Marianetti. While at York she had the privilege of singing in the elite choral chamber group, she stage-managed the theatre productions her senior year, and participated in the “Invite to Teach” internship experience where she acted as an aide in Jessica Tatevosian’s 6th grade general music classroom.
Katie is also a proud alumnus of Spritio! singers, having sung for Mrs. Lindberg in the Bravura ensemble her junior and senior years of high school. Katie is thrilled to be able to use her teaching skills to contribute a new set of talents to Spirito! in such a meaningful way. (Psalm 98:4)
