Crystal Forbes
Accompanist

Crystal Forbes received her undergraduate degrees from DePaul University in Piano Performance and Music Education and returned to DePaul to complete her graduate degree in Music Education. Since her early teens, she has been in frequent demand as collaborative pianist in numerous church and performance settings for vocal and instrumental ensembles ranging in number from soloists to hundreds. Crystal joined Spirito! Singers in 2009, serving as accompanist for Ragazze for nine years before moving into the role of Bravura's accompanist, in addition to having the pleasure to perform with Men of Spirito! twice yearly. In 2019, Crystal added the cello choir, Cellissimo, to her list of regular collaborative ensemble clientele.
On the faculty at Franklin Middle School in Wheaton since 1986, Crystal teaches Interrelated Arts and directs five choral ensembles. She has coordinated Franklin's Interrelated Arts Department since 1988 and currently serves as Fine Arts Instructional Team Leader. For over two decades, Crystal also enjoyed teaching private lessons to hundreds of piano students.
Active as chapter chaplain for the Martha Ibbetson Chapter of the National Society Daughters of the American Revolution, Crystal lives in Elmhurst with her husband and is the proud mother of two musician daughters.
