Scott Sutherland

Scott Sutherland and his daughter Jessica have been singing with Spirito! since the fall of 2010. After witnessing the outreach, and service the Spirito! Singers organization does first-hand, not to mention the musical and personal development each of the participants experience, he joined the board of directors in 2011.  Scott has been a long time resident of Elmhurst, Illinois and lives there with his supportive wife Colleen who he has been married to since 1987.  She is a teacher at Tree Town Cooperative Nursery School in Elmhurst, and they have wonderful children, Joseph, Joshua, and Jessica. 

Scott graduated from Elmhurst College with a B.S. in Marketing and a B.S. in Psychology. He has had the experience of running a successful retail business for 18 years as well as being a supervisor at Elmhurst Memorial Hospital for 6 years.  He has been an active member of his community, both professionally and personally.  He has been involved as both a coach and referee with AYSO soccer and YMCA youth basketball. He has also been a Boy Scout leader, supervised Public Action to Deliver Shelter (PADS) for the homeless, and worked with SCORE as a speaker at chapter meetings.  In addition, he has served on several volunteer Boards of Directors, including the Elmhurst Chamber of Commerce, York/Vallette Business Association as its President, Epiphany Evangelical Lutheran Church as the President of the congregation and member of the Endowment Committee, TCBY Franchise Association, Planned Giving Committee for Elmhurst College, E.A.O., and most recently Spirito!.  Currently, Scott is a Financial Advisor with Financial Consultants Group in Oakbrook Terrace. His favorite hobbies in addition to singing are; golf, racquetball, cooking, and especially having fun times together with family and friends including an occasional game of euchre.  (Back to Board of Directors Home Page.)
