Mary Jean Adkins

Mary Jean Adkins holds a Bachelor Degree in Music Therapy from Illinois State University and a Masters of Education from Erikson Institute. She began her professional career as a Music Therapist working at Little Angels, a residential pediatric facility located in Elgin, and University of Chicago Children’s Hospital. Careers that followed include Residential Case Manager, Piano Teacher, Substitute Special Ed Teacher and Fundraiser/Event Planner. She is presently the Director of Development with The Center for Exceptional Care, a not-for-profit agency serving Little Angels, the same facility where her professional career began. Mary Jean’s music background takes in 15 years of piano study and participation in numerous choirs and ensembles.  Mary Jean and husband Rich have lived in Elmhurst since 1988 and have two children, Laura and Steve.  (Back to Board of Directors Main Page.)
