(From Spirito! Newsletter Issue #1, 2009-2010)

Kate Burnier, a senior at York High School is currently serving as the Ragazze Ensemble Music Education Intern. This former Spirito! singer is excited to be working professionally with Molly Lindberg and is thrilled to have this opportunity to work with the Ragazze girls. Kate, a dedicated musician, says, “Music is my love, my life, my passion. It is what I live for.” As to her new pupils in the Ragazze ensemble, it is hard for Kate to contain her exuberance, “They have a raw love of music and they want to learn - that is unique.”
At York High School, Kate has been a member of the Madrigal, A Cappella, and Jazz Choir Ensembles, and was a cast member in the productions of Aida and West Side Story. This multitalented girl also stepped behind the theater curtain to stage manage The Wizard of Oz at York. Kate plays violin in York’s Symphony Orchestra, serves on the Board, and plays privately in a string quartet.
An obvious lover of the arts, Kate has also been actively involved in Christian Youth Theater starring in many performances as well as teaching for the organization. Kate has even dabbled in the technical production of film. Watch for the releases of Fancypants and Sackcloth and Ashes, both films in which Kate served as assistant camera.
