Spotlight on: Divya Pillai, Intermediate Theory Instructor

Divya has been singing for as long as she can remember! She is a member of the Chamber Choir and Women's Octet at Hinsdale Central High School. She represented her school at the district level of IMEA and has won gold level awards at IHSA. Recently, she was selected for the Hinsdale Central Concerto Competition, giving her the opportunity to perform live with the school orchestra. She frequently solos at recitals, choir concerts, and other school events. She takes private voice lessons with Patricia Hurd, and she has played the piano and alto saxophone. As a senior at Hinsdale Central High School, Divya is a member of the National Honor Society and the National Spanish Honor Society. She has won state- level awards in Science Olympiad and Math Team, and she is a subject captain for her school's JETS team. Divya has participated in Spirito since her sophomore year, and she is extremely excited to teach Ragazze this year!
