 Auditioned ensemble

• Age Requirement: high school aged girls
• Eligibility Requirements:
  • Excellent intonation and purity of tone
  • Ability to learn vocal lines after just a few repetitions
  • Ability to sing independently against other vocal harmonies
  • Knowledge of major and minor key signatures
  • Solfège identification and music reading fluency

Curriculum: Choral artistry and musicianship will continue to be developed. However the entire rehearsal is spent on repertoire. 

Please Note:  Bravura rehearsals are run in a professional format, expecting each participant to be focused, energized, and disciplined.  Applicants should understand that the Bravura Ensemble has the expectations of a Varsity Level sport or an Advanced Placement Class, (but without the homework!). 

Concerts, Service, & Tour:

• Spirito! Bravura is the featured ensemble for the major Spirito! concerts in December and May.
• Beginning in November of each year, one Sunday morning each month, (six times each year), is spent singing at area churches during morning services. This is an integral component of our ministry.
• The ensemble tours once each year.

Rehearsal Schedule:

• Rehearsals are held at Yorkfield Presbyterian Church in Elmhurst on Sunday afternoons from late August thru the end of May.  Rehearsals run from 2:30 p.m.- 4:30 p.m.
• Occasional Friday evening rehearsals are scheduled when a Sunday rehearsal cannot be held due to major holidays or other significant area events.
• There are no rehearsals held during the summer.

Tuition: $450.00 per year plus a $25.00 Uniform Use & Maintenance Fee

Financial Aid is available based on economic need.
